Midas customers will no longer earn Velocity Points as from 17 September 2019. Velocity confirmed the bad news in a partner update published on their website.

Customers who book a service with a booking date on or before 17 September 2019 will still be eligible to earn Points.

In addition to the standard service packages, Velocity Points may be earned on a variety of other services. These include Brake fluid flush, Coolant flush, Power steering flush, Transmission flush if deemed necessary while the main service is being conducted.

On the other hand, there are a number of items that won’t earn Velocity Points. These include

    • Brake parts,
    • Exhaust parts,
    • Drivetrain parts,
    • Engine parts,
    • Body parts,
    • Suspension parts,
    • Electrical parts,
    • Climate control parts,
    • Steering parts,
    • Tyres and
    • Non-related service labour
