Accor Plus is a popular subscription program offering a complimentary night, dining discounts and more. Over the 20 years or more of its life, it has grown to become one of the most popular subscription loyalty programs in Australia.
Accor have now decided it is time for a change and will be rebranding the current Accor Plus program as ALL Accor + Explorer from 1 October 2025. At the same times, there will be some changes in the benefits provided by the program.
All current Accor Plus members will be transitioned onto the new program on 1 October 2025.
Benefits of ALL Accor + Explorer
The high level benefits of the new program are:

The headline benefits point to some good changes, but there is some tightening up as well. Overall, the program will still provide solid value to many, but you may need to adjust how you use the program.
The following provided an outline of the changes that are being made to the program.
The Benefits and the changes
Two Stay Plus Free nights (on 2 nights stays)
I’ve long viewed the Stay Plus night that comes with Accor Plus as a big drawcard. If you are careful with how you use it, it can pay for your membership.
From 1 October, members will get 2 Stay Plus Free nights each year. However, there will be a new requirement that they be booked as part of a two-night stay. So, they become more of a “buy one, get one free” type of offer.
This means that you will always have to spend on at least one night when you stay. That could change the value equation for some, particularly if you generally used it for a single night at a high-end hotel. If the two nights are at different nightly rates, the complimentary night will be the more expensive of the two.
In the last few years, I’ve typically used my Stay Plus at resort locations on two (or more) night stays anyway. So, getting two opportunities every year is a bonus!
Transition Information
For those that have a Stay Plus in their account, you may need to consider what will happen. Depending on how you use it, there may be some benefit to waiting until October before using it. The following applies:
- if you’ve already booked a Stay Plus complimentary night, your booking will be honoured exactly as planned, with no changes.
- If you cancel a Stay Plus Complimentary Night booking on or before 30 September 2025, the night will be credited back to your account. On 1 October 2025, every one (1) unused Stay Plus Complimentary Night will be converted into two (2) Stay Plus FREE Nights with the ALL Accor+ Explorer membership.
- If you have redeemed a Stay Plus complimentary night before 1 October, it is considered used, and will not be converted to a Stay Plus FREE Night.
- If you have one unused Stay Plus Complimentary Night as of 1 October 2025, it will be converted into two (2) Stay Plus FREE Nights with the ALL Accor+ Explorer membership.
- If you have multiple unused Stay Plus Complimentary Nights as of 1 October 2025, each will be converted into two (2) Stay Plus FREE Nights with the ALL Accor+ Explorer membership, up to a maximum of two Stay Plus FREE Nights.
Red Hot Rooms
Red Hot Rooms is a program that offers a discount of up to 50% off room rates. These rooms can provide some excellent value. The good news is that these will continue to be offered as part of All Accor + Explorer.
Global 15 per cent room discount
Room discounts will be available globally. From 1 October, members will be eligible for a 15 per cent discount on public rates worldwide. This will be a benefit for those that travel outside the Asia Pacific region.
There are a few caveats to this. This discount does not apply to promotional, sale or package rates. The rate cannot be combined with the ALL member rates.
Dining Discount Changes
Another big saving that Accor Plus brings is the dining discount. While this varied depending on the numbers of diners, when two people dined it was a 50% discount.
From 1 October, this will all be changing to a flat 30% discount. This discount will apply for any number of diners (up to ten). Couples will lose out (reducing the discount from 50% to 30%), while groups of 4 or more will benefit.
If there are between 11 and 20 diners at a table, there will be a 10% discount applied to the overall bill. This is a reasonable discount for a group booking
15% discount on drinks in Asia Pacific
While where sort of on the topic, there will be a 15% discount on drinks across Asia Pacific. Up until now, the discount has varied depending on which country you are in. Indeed, in Australia there has been no discount.

Status nights increase from 20 to 30 – Guaranteed Gold Status
The new program will offer instant ALL Accor Gold status – an instant fast track if you will. This will be due to the number of Status Nights being increased to 30 nights in each year of your membership. These 30 nights will also get you halfway to platinum.
One clause that has been added to the terms is that there is a maximum of 30 bonus status nights across all memberships. So, no matter what combination of All + accounts you have, you can only get 30 status nights.
Status Renewal
Under the new terms, your status will be based on the calendar year, in the same way as all other ALL members. This looks to be disconnecting the status period from your membership year. The trick of having your membership renewal late in the year looks to be going away.
Final Words
The rebranding was announced originally announced some time ago, so it’s been a long time coming. Of more interest to me has been the details of the changes to the benefits provided by the program.
Whether you are a winner of loser after these changes depends on how you have been using the benefits. For me it’s a case on win one, lose one, so I guess neutral overall. While I win with the Stay Plus changes, I lose with the dining discount changes.
That said, the program still provides solid value, however, you may need to reevaluate the way you use the program to extract the best value.
The new terms and conditions can be found on the Accor Plus website.
