One year has passed since Langham launched its Brilliant by Langham loyalty program. Many members of the program will have come across from the ‘1865’ program when that was shuttered in February last year,
Under the program, your Membership Tier is valid fro 12 months from when you became eligible for the tier. This means that members that came across from the ‘1865’ program are now approaching the end of their membership period.
Normally, members that do not achieve the requirements for their tier in a 12-month period will move down a tier. For example, if you were a Diamond, but failed to meet the Diamond requirements, you would move to the Topaz Tier.
Membership Tier Extension
However, to celebrate the first anniversary of the program, Brilliant by Langham will be extending the current tier by another year. There are a few rules around the extension:
- You had to have enrolled in the program prior to 20 February 2025.
- The extension will be based on your tier as of 25 February 2025.
- Brilliant By Langham will process the extension by March 2025.
Normally, at the start of a Membership Period, your status points count is reset to zero. Interestingly, this time around any status points currently in your account will remain through to the end of the new Membership year. This will mean that some members will have two years to accumulate enough points to go up a level.
Final Words
It’s not clear why they have chosen to extend members tier status by a further 12 months. Perhaps they were looking at a number of members dropping down a level. I’m certainly not going to argue with them!
