Velocity Frequent Flyer has launched a new promotion offering Velocity members a choice of ‘Exclusive Benefits’ when applying for a selected Velocity credit card by 31 March 2023.
Under the offer, Velocity members can choose from one of the following benefits:
- 30,000 bonus Velocity points,
- 250 Virgin Australia status credits, which is conveniently enough to attain Silver status, or
- A $200 Coles gift voucher
How to get the additional “Exclusive Benefit”
In order to receive the additional “Exclusive Benefit”, you’ll need to follow the following steps:
- Head over to the Velocity website, and choose your preferred benefit
- Apply for an eligible Velocity Points earning by 31 March 2023.
As far as eligible cards go, you will need to select a card that directly earns Velocity Frequent Flyer points. In addition, the card needs to have an annual fee (such as the American Express Velocity Escape card)
The following table outlines the list of cards that Velocity has identified as eligible for the promotion. Note that each of these cards has an additional sign-up offer, which will be paid in addition to any bonus under this offer. In order to get your chosen benefit, you will need to achieve the spend required for the card sign-up offer.

Thoughts
All up, there are some quite attractive benefits there. If you’ve got Velocity Frequent Flyer status in your sights, then the 250 status credits could be worthwhile.
If you’re looking at the other options, and are looking to choose between 30,000 Velocity Points, or the gift card, consider the value you could get from the points. In many cases, you’d be able to get more than $200 worth of value from 30,000 Velocity Points. As such, the extra points could be attractive.
