    IHG Announces an Intercontinental for the Barossa Valley

    Newly announced hotel aims to fills the luxury gap in the Barossa

    IHG Hotels and Resorts, and partner Strategic Alliance, have announced plans to bring the luxury InterContinental brand to the Barossa Valley.

    Set to open in 2028, the hotel will rise amid the rolling hills and lush vineyards of the famed Barossa region.

    Location

    The Barossa, with its rich history and renowned natural beauty, is one of Australia’s most popular tourist destinations. The InterContinental Barossa Resort & Spa’s prime location will be set in the heart of the Barossa. It will be ideal for visitors wanting to immerse themselves in the region’s wineries and vineyards.

    Hotel Features

    the 150 room property will feature an views of the local landscape. The rooms with balconies will overlook the impressive vineyard and cellar door.

    In terms of dining options, the InterContinental Barossa Resort & Spa will feature options including a 130 seat signature restaurant. The current plans for the signature restaurant is to showcase Australia’s finest flavors and culinary experiences with a contemporary edge. In addition, the hotel will feature a lounge bar, outdoor garden terrace and signature Club InterContinental.

    Other Resort amenities will include a pool, a comprehensive day spa and a well-equipped fitness centre. Additionally, the property will meet the demand for a first-class events venue in the Barossa. As such, It will offer extensive conference and meeting spaces.

    For visitors looking to stay active during their stay, the Resort will offer modern fitness facilities. It will also provides scenic walking trails, and will allow easy access to the region’s many outdoor activities.
