IHG One Rewards members now have a new way of using their hard-earned points. From today, members in Australia will be able to use their points on a range of experiences through the IHG Access platform.
The new awards platform has now officially launched in Australia, promising members the ability to access a range of unforgettable and unique experiences. To kick off the launch members are being offered an opportunity to attend the UTE A-League Mens Grand Final.
What is IHG Access?
IHG Access is a platform offering IHG One Rewards members a range of experiences based on category, location, or points cost. These events may include sideline tickets at sporting events, VIP concert passes, or meet-and-greets.
There are two types of offers within the platform. Firstly, you are able to redeem your points instantly at a fixed amount. Secondly, you can bid on experiences where the highest bid at the close of the auction period wins.
In order to in the IHG Access program, you will need to be a member of IHG One Rewards. There are a few additional restrictions, such as needing to be at least 18 years of age.

To celebrate the launch, IHG Hotels & Resorts is offering members the chance to score tickets to witness the Isuzu UTE A-League Men’s Grand Final on 3 June 2023 at CommBank Stadium in Western Sydney along with other exclusive benefits.

These tickets are available for Australian IHG One Rewards members from Tuesday, 16 May 2023, until Friday, 26 May 2023. Please note that there are limited tickets, so they may sell out prior to 26 May.
Other programs
The concept if IHG Access is similar to platforms run by other programs, such as ALL Accor Live Limitless Experiences or Marriott Bonvoy Moments. Each of these has a range of offers allowing members to redeem their points for various experiences.
In the case of All Accor Live Limitless Experiences, a range of sporting events and concerts is on offer. In some cases, the tickets allow access to the Accor ALL members suite.
Similarly, Marriott Bonvoy Moments offers a range of ‘money can’t buy’ experiences. These include a range of sporting, entertainment, and culinary events.
As with the others, Marriott Bonvoy Moments offers opportunities to experience events in Australia. While there are no current offers, in the past, there have been events such as VIP Australian Open tickets.
