IHG has opened registration for a new promotion going by the name of Pick Your Payoff. The promotion, which offers a choice of reward, is valid for stays between 13 October – 31 December, 2022.
Under the offer, you will be able to make a choice between two options. The first option offers 2,000 points for each 2 nights stayed. On the other hand, you could choose a reward of 10,000 points after each 4 nights stayed.

`The option you should pick would depend on the stays you are likely to have over the promotion period. While 10,000 points every four nights is mathematically better, it only makes sense if you will stay at least four nights. Be aware that once you have chosen your option, you will not be able to change it. So choose carefully.
It is also worth keeping in mind that reward nights do not count toward the tally for this promotion. If you have any reward nights coming up, don’t include them in your decision on which one to choose.
Thoughts
If you do the maths, you can get an average of 1,000 points or 2,500 points per stay. However, if you are not going to be staying 4 nights, then you will get no points at all from the second offer.
If you are going to stay 4 or more nights during the promotion period, then opting for the 10,000 points offer will be more rewarding. On the other hand, if you don’t think you will have 4 nights, then take the 2,000 points offer.
