Kris+ is currently offering 12 miles per dollar when purchasing JBHiFi gift cards through the Kris+ App. While Kris+ is normally only available in Sydney and Melbourne, this offer could potentially offer points to all Australian residents.
The offer applies when purchasing $100, $250 and $500 JB Hi-Fi gift cards through the Kris+ app. It’s not open slather though – there are limits. – you can purchase ten $100 gift cards, eight $250 gift cards and six $500 gift cards. These limits apply per Kris+ user.
While Kris+ has been operating for five years, it entered the Australian market just 2 years ago, At the time, it had less than fifty earnings partners but has since grown that to 228 partners (and counting).
Kris+
Kris+ is Singapore Airline’s lifestyle rewards app. The app that allows members to earn KrisPay miles on everyday spending at a range of participating merchants. These merchants include those offering dining, retail, and activities.For example, you can pay for coffee or food with the Kris+ app and collect miles.
After collecting KrisPay miles in Kris+, you have two options.
- Transfer the miles to KrisFlyer. At present 1 KrisPay mile is the equivalent of 1 KrisFlyer mile.
- Use the miles to offset a purchase. You can do this at a rate of 100 miles = 1 AUD.
There are some limitations on converting to KrisFlyer to keep in mind. Firstly, they can only be transferred within 21 days of earning them. Secondly, you have to convert a transaction in its entirety.
Elite Miles
It is also worth remembering that you can earn 1 KrisFlyer Elite mile per Australian Dollar earned through Kris+. There are limits to how many Elite Miles you can use this way.
Merchants
AT present, there are a total of 228 merchants participating in Kris+ – 116 in Sydney, and 112 in Melbourne. These include a range of bars, cafes, restaurants and retail outlets. Even airport lounges are on the list (in the case if Plaza Premium lounge)
Final Words
Kris+ has been on a slow but steady growth trajectory in Australia. It can be an easy way to earn miles, and when the offer is 15 miles per dollar it would be worth giving it a go. Certainly 15 Miles Per Dollar, and 1 Elite Mile towards status is a pretty compelling offer.
