In common with most sales of this type, these rooms are offered on an advance purchase basis, with prepayment required at the time of booking.
On a positive note, on the hotels I have checked, you are able to cancel within 24 hours of booking for a full refund. Of course, if you want to cancel outside of that 24 hour window, you will likely lose your money. So, make sure your stays are fairly definite.
