Qantas Frequent Flyers and members of ALL – Accor Live Limitless have been able to double dip on their points earning in the two programs since November 2021. Under the double dip, Platinum (and above) Frequent Flyers have been able to earn ALL points when flying on Qantas services. This was in addition to the normal Qantas Frequent Flyer points.
Improvements
Qantas and ALL have now improved the ability to earn ALL points in two ways:
- If you are a Gold Frequent Flyer, you will be able to earn ALL points when flying. Until now, you have has to have been at least Platinum in order to take advantage of this perk.
- You will now earn more than twice the number of ALL points. Until now, the earn rate has been 1 ALL point for every $5 you spend on eligible air fares. This has been bumped up to 1 ALL point for every $2 you spend on eligible fares
To illustrate the improvement in points earning, I recently earned 44 ALL points on a flight from Perth to Sydney. Under the new improved earnings rate, that same flight would have earned 110 ALL points.
Linking your Qantas and Accor accounts
In order to take advantage of the double dip benefits, you will need to ensure that your ALL – Accor Live Limitless and Qantas Frequent Flyer accounts are linked. You can do this through either the Qantas Frequent Flyer or Accor Live Limitless websites.
Benefits
Keep in mind, that the benefits of this partnership vary depending on your status level. In order to earn the maximum ALL points when flying, you will need to hold at least Gold status in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program.
Having said that, other benefits of the partnership include:
- You can earn 3 Qantas Points per dollar on eligible Accor hotel stays in Australia and Asia Pacific.
- Qantas Gold members and higher can apply for a fast-track upgrade to ALL Silver status.
You can still earn ALL points while flying if you hold ALL Gold or above, however, this will be at a lower earn rate.
