Two new IHG hotels for Brisbane – the voco and Hotel Indigo

    MarkBy MarkFebruary 20, 2021No Comments2 Mins Read

IHG has announced two new hotels for Brisbane – the voco Brisbane City Centre and Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre.  The first two open will be the voco, which will be open later this year. The Hotel Indigo will follow next year.

The hotels are conversions of hotels that have been operating as the Ibis and Mercure Brisbane. IHG have not said which hotel is converting to which. It would seem to make the most sense for the Mercure to become the Indigo., and the Ibis to become the Voco. Either way, it would seem that there is a fair amount of work ahead upgrading the two properties.

    voco Brisbane City Centre

The voco Brisbane City Centre will overlook the Brisbane River and some of the city’s best cultural institutions. It promises to bring the brand’s vibrant, reliably fun vision to life.

Each of the hotel’s 194 guestrooms will enjoy a full refurbishment to elevate them to premium voco standards. In addition, the hotel’s bar will get a complete makeover.

The hotel is due to open later in 2021.

    Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre

Following in 2022, Hotel Indigo Brisbane City Centre will open. The rooms will be revitalized and the hotel’s restaurant, bar, and café will be completely reimagined.
