As we head into winter, Virgin Australia is rolling out a fresh wave of updates to its onboard menus. The good news is that travellers in both Business Class and Economy are set to benefit. Business Class flyers get a new menu that delivers bigger, bolder flavours at altitude. Meanwhile, Economy passengers can enjoy an expanded buy‑on‑board range packed with more variety.

One of the biggest highlights of the new Economy menu is the Cheeseburger Toastie. It’s packed with 100% Australian ground beef, melted cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle and a rich cheesy sauce. Basically, it brings all the flavour of a classic burger in a warm, toasted format.

Virgin Australia is confident this one will be a crowd‑pleaser. Toasties are already among the most popular inflight snacks, with close to a quarter of a million Ham and Cheese toasties sold every year. With that level of demand, it’s easy to see why the new Cheeseburger Toastie is set to become a passenger favourite.

When you go flying, your taste buds take a bit of a holiday. In fact, food can taste up to 30% less flavourful in the air. So, to make sure every bite still hits the spot, Virgin Australia new Business Class menu has been shaped by real guest feedback and plenty of taste testing.

The new dishes span breakfast through dinner, with standouts like ricotta, chocolate and hazelnut crêpes, hearty beef with creamy polenta, and a bright pesto fusilli salad. And being business, food and drink options are included in your fare.

    Economy Class

Economy travellers aren’t missing out either. The updated menu brings a fresh mix of buy‑on‑board bites to sit alongside the Cheeseburger Toastie. Think crunchy corn chips with a zesty salsa, a warm golden falafel wrap, or a cosy serve of creamy mac and cheese. Plus, the drinks list has expanded. Joining the line‑up is Hard Rated Lemon, Australia’s most popular ready-to-drink alcoholic beverage.

And to top it all off, Virgin Australia still offers complimentary tea, coffee and water to every Economy guest on every flight.
