The Perth SilverKris Lounge is the Singapore Airlines lounge at Perth Airport. The lounge caters to the four flights that Singapore Airlines operates to the lion city each day.
Physically, the lounge is located in the area that was once occupied by the Qantas Lounge. It has been remodelled, and is reflective of the design of other SilveKris lounges. That said, it there are a few nods to Western Australia, such as tables made of WA Bluckbutt wood.
While not the largest lounge around, it is more than adequate for the task it was designed for. Over the last few months, I have been in the lounge for both morning and evening visits.

Lounge Details
Lounge Location
The Perth SilverKris Lounge is located across from Gate 52. This is a convenient location for those flying on SIngapore Airlines, as Gate 52 seems to be a fairly common gate for their flights to leave from.
It is also in the spot where the former Qantas International Business Lounge was found. After Qantas vacated the space, Singapore Airlines converted the lounge into a SilverKris Lounge. And they have done a good job of the transformation – you’d barely recognise its history as a Qantas lounge.
Opening Hours
Singapore Airlines operates four times a day. The lounge opens and closes four times a day to match the flights. At present, the lounge is open at the following times:
- 0410 to 0620 hours
- 1050 to 1330 hours
- 1430 to 1710 hours
- 2210 to 0050 hours
Keep in mind that these times do move around a little if the Singapore Airlines schedules change.

In my case, I accessed the lounge by dint of my Velocity Frequent Flyer status.
Around the Perth SilverKris Lounge
Layout and Seating
The Perth SilverKris Lounge makes efficient use of the space that has. While it is not a large lounge, it can seat 130 passengers. While that might sound small, there will generally only be one flight leaving at a time.
On entering the lounge, it quickly becomes obvious that the lounge is divided in a number of zones. The left of the lounge is largely taken up by the food service areas and the lounge bar. Dividing the two sides of the lounge is a series or productivity pods. On the right side of the lounge various types of seating may be found.
I guess you can find the area that suits what you are doing. Bar seating near the bar. A dining area toward the end. Or the more comfortable options for more relaxed lounging on the right.
Food and Beverage
Food
It must be said that the dining options leave you a spoiled for choice. There’s the usual buffet fare, but it is worth starting with something from the live cooking station.
Firstly, there are some options such as Char Kway Teoh and a selection of Dim Sim items. These will be freshly prepared for you upon request.
It is a similar story with the signature Laksa. As with the Char Kwat Teoh, the final preparation is undertakne by the staff, adding the various components together. This was the option I opted to go with.
Aside from the live cooking station, there is a buffet section. On the day I was in the lounge there were options such as turmeric chicken and lamb navarin. On the vegetable front, there stir fried vegetables and mashed potatoes were on offer.
The lounge also features a selection of pies and rolls from Pinjarra Bakery. These are quite a decent local option.
In addition to the hot buffet, there are a range of cold options. Options that you can choose include various cold cuts, cheese, a fruit platter, finger sandwiches, and so on.
Breakfast
The hot options vary for the breakfast service. During breakfast you will find typical options such as omelets, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausages or chipolatas, and so on.
Beverages
The lounge has quite a range of beverages available, including both self-service and bar-service options.
Staring off at the bar, you can get a version of the Singapore Sling, that goes under the name of SilverKris Sling Perth. According to the sign, this is made from Old Young’s Six Seasons gin, Aperol and fruit juice mix.
The self-pour wines included a selection from Vasse Felix, a wine producer from the Margaret River region. On the sparkling front, there was an offering from Chandon. Ok, maybe not real champagne, but not a bad drop.
On the beer front, there was a range of Beerfarm options. Beerfarm is a raeltively local option, out of Metricup in the states southwest. In addition, Single Fin from Gage Roads was on offer, as well as the iconic Tiger Beer, and lower alcohol options such as Heineken Zero and Cascade Premium Light.
Amenities
Bathrooms and showers
The bathrooms and showers are found on the left of the lounge (when looking from the entrance). You’ll see signage and a passage to the facilities between the food servery and the bar. In addition to the male and female toilets, there are two shower rooms – one of which is accessible.
Final Words
As always, a visit to the lounge provided a pleasant place to wait for your flight. The food and beverage options cover a range of tastes and styles. It’s quite a bonus that Singapore Airlines is supporting local producers, such as Beerfarm, Vasse Felix, and Pinjarra Bakery.
It is certainly worth arriving a little early for your flight to enjoy some time in the lounge.
