The Accor Live Limitless (ALL) program sent out an email today with positive news heading into 2021. During 2021, members will receive both double nights and double status credits for their stays during all of 2021.
This is on top of the previous offer to rollover nights and status points from the last half of 2020.
Double Nights and Status Points
During 2021, Accor will double any Status Points or Nights you earn during the year. The real effect of this is to halve the requirements to retain your current level. Even better, it halves the requirements to go up a level. In effect, you will be able to achieve status in 2021 as follows:
- Silver –
10 nights or 800 euros to5 nights or 400 euros - Gold –
30 nights 2,800 eurosto 15 nights or 1,400 euros - Platinum –
60 nights or 5,600 eurosto 30 nights or 2,800 euros - Diamond –
10,400 eurosto 5,200 euros
Rollover nights and Status Points
As previously announced, Accor will roll over nights and status points earned between 1 July and 31 December 2020 into 2021. They have now stated that they expect these rolled nights and status points to be in members’ accounts by February.
Taken together, this offers the tantalizing prospect of going up a level. In my case, I will have 10 nights rolling over into 2021. Based on the double nights, I will need a further 25 nights to earn Platinum.
Thoughts
Taken together, these two changes make it possible for many members to go up a level they may otherwise not have been able to. In my case, it almost makes Platinum an achievable goal again – after I fell back to Gold a few years back.
