Earn 20,000 bonus Qantas Points at TripADeal

    MarkBy MarkJanuary 5, 2026No Comments3 Mins Read

TripADeal is offering Qantas Frequent Flyers 20,000 bonus Qantas Points on Tour, Cruise, and Hotel Packages. The bonus points are in addition to the 3 Qantas Points per dollar that you would normally earn.

To be in line for the 20,000 bonus points, new bookings have to be made between 1 January and 31 January 2026.

    TripADeal

Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn and burn points on a huge range of holiday packages through TripADeal.

TripADeal is a company that curates and sells package holidays. Or to put it in their own words, ‘Bucketlist experiences at unbelievable prices.’ Most of the packages on offer are fully inclusive, so you get airfares, accommodation, and in many cases, meals all included in the package.

The team at TripADeal has put together quite a range of packaged tour options. Some examples of the types of holidays you will find are:

    • African safaris,
    • Japanese ski trips
    • Antarctica explorations,
    • South Australian wine tasting tours and
    • Bali beach holidays.

All of these ready-made holidays can now be booked using Qantas Points. That includes any airfares regardless of which airline is included in the package. This can be done by a mix-and-match option. The ‘points plus pay’ allows you to put some points toward the booking, while paying the balance in cash.

Frequent Flyers will also earn three points for every $1 they spend with TripADeal.

Earning and Burning Points with TripADeal

    Earning Points

Under the partnership with TripADeal, Qantas Frequent Flyers can earn 3 points per dollar spent on package holidays. Earning points is fairly straightforward. Once you have selected your holiday, proceed to the payment page, where you will have the opportunity to enter your Frequent Flyer number.

It is worth noting that only one person can take advantage of the Qantas Points. This will normally be the person who makes the booking.

    Burning Points

On the flip side, you can use your points as part payment on packages at TripADeal. Using the calculators attached to their packages, it looks as though they are offering 1c per Qantas Points as payment toward packages.

For example, a 22 Day Mexico, USA & Canada retails for $5,999. However, you could put 300,000 Qantas Points toward this and save yourself $3,000.

You will still earn 3 Qantas Points per dollar on the cash component. In this case, the additional $2,999 will get you 8,997 Qantas Points.

    Thoughts

This partnership gives Qantas Frequent Flyers new opportunities to earn and burn Qantas Points. The earn rate, at 3 Qantas Points per dollar spent, is quite respectable. On the other hand, when you are using points, you are basically exchanging points at the rate of 1c per point. While this is better than some options (such as the famous toaster), you can get a better value through an Award flight.
