Mastercard offers its cardholders a range of travel-related benefits under the Priceless banner. One that I tried out recently was the ability to use your Mastercard to get instant elite status in the GHA Discovery program.
Under the offer, you can apply for GHA DISCOVERY elite status, with the chance of being offered a level as high as Titanium, the highest (published) tier.
While the previous offer has expired, there is a new offer valid through to the end of 2025. The new offers contains pretty much the same terms as the previous versions of the offer.
Offer Details
Under the offer, GHA Discovery will award you with the following status within the program:
- Platinum and Titanium cardholders – GHA Discovery Gold
- World cardholders – GHA Discovery Platinum
- World Elite cardholders – GHA Discovery Titanium
While a few Mastercard World cards are on the market in Australia, there are not many World Elite options. I have a Mastercard World card, so achieving a Platinum level is achievable.
The process you follow depends on whether you are a new or existing member of GHA Discovery. The processes are:
For New GHA DISCOVERY Members:
- Visit https://redemption.mastercard.com
- ‘Sign-Up’ for a new account using your email and eligible Mastercard card or ‘Log-In’ using an existing account
- Click on ‘Experience GHA DISCOVERY’
- Click ‘Use Now’
- Click ‘Confirm’
- Click ‘Create an Account’
- Once all fields are complete, click ‘Next’
- Provide consent preference under ‘Preferences and T&C’ and click ‘Confirm’
- “Congratulations! Your new membership status” will be shown. Click ‘Done’ to be brought to your membership dashboard. At the same time, an enrolment confirmation email will be sent to the registered email.
For Existing GHA DISCOVERY Members Seeking an Upgrade:
- Visit https://redemption.mastercard.com
- ‘Sign-Up’ for a new account using your email and eligible Mastercard card or ‘Log-In’ using an existing account
- Click on ‘Experience GHA DISCOVERY’
- Click ‘Use Now’
- Click ‘Confirm’
- Sign in using your GHA DISCOVERY account details, user name/email and password. Should you need to reset your password, please ensure you complete the process within the same browser window.
- After signing in, cardholder will be asked to confirm if you would like to proceed with the upgrade, click ‘Confirm’
- “Congratulations! Your new membership status” will be shown. Click ‘Done’ to be brought to your membership dashboard. At the same time, an enrolment confirmation email will be sent to the registered email.
- If the cardholder’s existing membership level matches the membership level offered through the partnership campaign, the member’s membership will be renewed to the end of the next calendar year.
- If the cardholder’s existing membership level is higher than the membership level offered through the partnership campaign, the member’s membership will not be downgraded.
Your status will be valid for a period of 1 year plus the remaining months of the year. As a result, if you were to apply now, you should have the status locked in until the end of 2026.
