    HSBC Platinum Qantas Visa Card – new 7,500 points per month cap

    HSBC is offering a sign up bonus of 60,000 Qantas Points on its HSBC Platinum Qantas Visa card. To be in the running for the bonus points, you will need to apply for the card by December 31, 2017. After that, you will need to spend at least $3,000 on the card within 3 months of opening the account.

    In addition, to the Qantas Points, you also have access to a  0% balance transfer for 12 months (from non HSBC cards).

    The card does come with an annual fee of $199 per year, and there is no discount on this for the first year.

    HSBC Platinum Qantas Visa credit card

    Offering 1 Qantas Point per dollar spent, the HSBC Platinum Qantas Visa card is one of a few remaining such cards left on the market. It does drop back to 0.5 poinnts per dollar for any spend over $2,500 each month. Ultimately, the card tops out at 7,500 Qantas Points in a statement period.

    In addition to the basic earning, the card offers bonus points on selected Qantas products. These include items such as airfares on Qantas flight purchased through the Qantas website.

    On top of the points earning, the card comes with the usual insurance inclusions that a Platinum level card often comes with. The insurance policy includes Extended Warranty, Purchase Protection, & International Travel Insurance.
