    Jetstar Mastercard bonus points

Mark BBy Mark BAugust 25, 2015No Comments3 Mins Read

The Jetstar Platinum Mastercard has a new sign up bonus, offering new holders of the card a bonus of 40,000 points (or a $400 Jetstar voucher)

In order to b einline for the 40,000 Qantas Point, you will need to apply for the card by November 30, 2015. Upon approval of the card, you will then have 60 days in which to spend $3,000 on eligible purchases. The offer also comes with a reduced annual fee of $69 for the first year (and the normal $149 in subsequent years).

In order to get the points, you will also need to opt in to get Qantas Points, on card activation. If you do not do this you will get a $400 Jetstar voucher, and collect Jetstar dollars on your spend, rather than Qantas Points.

Information on this offer, is available on the Jetstar Mastercard promotion page.

    Jetstar MasterCard Benefits

The main unique feature of the Jetstar Mastercards is that they provide a waiver of the booking and service fee when booking flights on Jetstar.com, or through the Jetstar Service Centre. Depending on how many flights you take on Jetstar, will determine the value of holding one of these cards over other cards.

Outside of that, there are product differences between the two cards, and a basic outline of the two products is given below.

    Jetstar Platinum MasterCard

The Jetstar Platinum MasterCard comes with an annual fee of $149 per year. For that, you will get a card that earns Qantas Frequent Flyer Points at the rate of 1 Qantas Point per Australian Dollar spent on the card. There is a maximum points cap for the card of 100,000 Qantas Points per year.

    Jetstar MasterCard

The Jetstar MasterCard comes with a lower annual fee of $59 per year, however there is an additional $39 per year to get Qantas Points in place of Jetstar Dollars. For that, you will get a card that earns Qantas Frequent Flyer Points at the rate of 0.5 Qantas Point per Australian Dollar spent on the card. Points on eligible spend are capped at 25,000 Qantas Points per year (which would equire a $50,000 speand).

    Previous Promotions
