Marriott Bonvoy and Singapore Airlines KrisFlyer have announced that elite members of the programs will be able to apply for benefits in each other’s programs. These benefits take the form of either a status match or a status fast track.
Under the offer, Marriott Gold Elite members (and above) are eligible to apply to Krsiflyer for an upgrade to Silver (or higher). Similarly, KrisFlyer elites will have opportunities to gain Marriot Bonvoy status.
The benefits are available to members who link their two accounts together.
Marriott Bonvoy perks for KrisFlyer elites
If you hold an elite membership with KrisFlyer you could be in line for additional benefits. There are two sets of offers, one is a straight status match, and the other is a status accelerator.
KrisFlyer Gold and PPS members
The first (and best) offer is for KrisFlyer Elite Gold and PPS members. If you hold one of these, then there are two offers – a status match to gold, and a fast track to Platinum.
- Status Match: Get Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status for 12 months from registration.
- Status Accelerator: The accelerator offer will allow you to gain Marriott Bonvoy platinum status after completing 10 qualifying nights within 6 months of registration. This is quite a generous offer as you would normally need to stay 50 nights to achieve Platinum
KrisFlyer Silver members
If you are a KrisFlyer Elite Silver you will be offered the chance to achieve Marriott Bonvoy Silver Elite status.
- Status Accelerator: You will be awarded Marriott Bonvoy platinum status after completing 10 qualifying nights within 6 months of registration. Silver status normally requires either 10 nights in a calendar year.
KrisFlyer perks for Marriott Bonvoy Elites
If you hold Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status or above, then there are also opportunities to boost your benefits in KrisFlyer.
As with the offers for KrisFlyer elites they come in two forms. Firstly there is a straight status match. Secondly, there is a status accelerator. Again, the offer varies depending on your current Marriott Bonvoy Status.
Marriott Platinum Elite and above
- Status Match: If you hold Marriott Bonvoy Platinum Elite, Titanium Elite, or Ambassador Elite status, you are in line for an instant status match to the KrisFlyer Elite Silver status tier. This is valid for 12 months. If you are already KrisFlyer Silver, then your status will be extended by 12 months.
- Status Accelerator: You will also be offered a chance to achieve KrisFlyer Elite Gold status. This will require just four flights on Singapore Airlines within six months of linking their accounts.
KrisFlyer Elite Gold is the highest KrisFlyer status, and you would normally need to accrue 50,000 Elite miles over a year. As such, the status accelerator offers a significantly easier method to attain KrisFlyer Elite Gold status.
Marriott Gold Elite
- Status Accelerator: If you have Marriott Bonvoy Gold Elite status, you will have a chance to upgrade to KrisFlyer Silver Elite status for 12 months. This will be available with just two flights on Singapore Airlines within six months of linking the accounts.

Marriott Bonvoy and Krisflyer have been strengthening their relationship recently. They had previously announced the ability to transfer points between the two programs.
