Marriott International has launched its own competition to promote vaccinations in Australia. In total, Marriott is giving away 41 Marriott Bonvoy Packages to Australians vaccinated against COVID-19.
The competition is open to Marriott Bonvoy members that have received both doses of a COVID-19 vaccination. You can enter the competition any time between now and 3 pm (AEST) on 30 November 2021.
The prizes
On offer is a range of prizes offering 1 night’s accommodation at Marriott Hotels across Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and New Caledonia. The major prizes include 1 night’s accommodation at all of the participating hotels, while other prizes offer a night at each hotel in an Australian state. In addition, there are prizes for Fiji and New Caledonia.
The major prize in the competition is a 1-night stay at all 28 participating Marriott Bonvoy hotels & resorts in Australia, New Zealand, Fiji, and New Caledonia. There are not just one of these prizes, there are five of these packages on offer.
It’s not a bad prize, although you will have to find your own way around the country. Other prizes on offer include a number of packages staying at all the hotels in a particular state.

Entering
To enter the competition, head over to a special page Marriott has set up for the promotion. You will need to be a Marriott Bonvoy member, but that shouldn’t be too much of a hurdle.
You will also need to upload your PDF vaccination certificate from Medicare or myGov. Finally, you need to tell Marriott in 25 words or less “what travelling means to you”.
Thoughts
Marriott International is the latest travel operator to launch a vaccination competition in Australia. We have previously seen offers from Qantas (with Accor), and Virgin Australia.
I’ll toss my hat in the ring, but I never have much success with these 25 words or less competitions!
