Members of the New Zealand version of Everyday Rewards can now convert their points to Air New Zealand Airpoints or Qantas Frequent Flyer points. The ability to convert points will be available from 2 December 2024.
According to Everyday Rewards New Zealand being able to convert to these airlines has been frequently requested. According to Director of Everyday Rewards New Zealand, Mark Burger:
We only launched back in February, and if there’s one thing we’ve heard from our members since, it’s that they want rewards that’ll help them book their next holiday or a trip to see loved ones. We’re pleased to be delivering exactly that with our new partners – we think it’s going to be a game changer for our members
Conversion Rates
As with its Australian counterpart, you are able to transfer points when you get to 2,000 Everyday Rewards points. In the case of Everyday Rewards New Zealand, your options at 2,000 points are:
- Convert to 15 Airpoints Dollars with Air New Zealand
- Convert to 1,500 Qantas Points in the Qantas Frequent Flyer program
- Take a $15 Rewards voucher to redeem at Woolworths supermarkets, bp, or Petstock
Woolworths Rewards NZ
The Woolworths Rewards program in New Zealand runs along the same lines as the program in Australia. Members are awards 1 point for every dollar that they spend in Woolworths stores in New Zealand. In addition, there are other partners such as bp and Petstock where you can earn points.
On the surface it would seem that you need to spend $2,000 to earn 2,000 points. However, the program does offer promotional bonus points on certain products from time to time. These promotions can help boost your points. That said, I have heard that there are better bonus opportunities in the Australian program.
