Transferring Bank Rewards Points to Everyday Rewards

    Everyday Rewards

For a long time, Australian credit card rewards worked in two strict lanes. If you wanted Qantas Points, you had to choose a card that earned Qantas Points directly. You were locked in. No flexibility. No alternative partners.

Flexible rewards cards sat on the other side. They let you move points to multiple airline and hotel programs. They offered choice. But, for the most part, they did not allow transfers to Qantas. The two systems stayed separate, forcing cardholders to pick loyalty or flexibility.

This has changed over the last year or so. A few programs have started to allow the ability to transfer reward points into Everyday Rewards points. What makes this interesting for Frequent Flyers is that you can set up your Everyday Rewards account to send your points across to Qantas.

It could be that this is now one of the most underrated hacks in Australia’s points ecosystem. It quietly turns your everyday banking activity, credit card spend, bonus earn promotions, and reward program incentives, into Qantas Points.

    Transfer Partners

Below is a breakdown of the current bank partners that allow transfers into Everyday Rewards.

    ANZ

The transfer rate from ANZ Reward Points to Woolworths Everyday Rewards is 2,700 ANZ Reward Points for 2,000 Everyday Rewards points (a 1.35:1 ratio).

    Transfer Rules & Limits

    • Minimum Transfer: 2,700 ANZ Reward Points (yielding 2,000 Everyday Rewards points).
    • Increments: Transfers must be made in multiples of 2,700 ANZ Reward Points.

For further information refer to the ANZ Everyday Rewards Partner Page.

    Westpac

The transfer rate from Westpac Altitude Rewards to Everyday Rewards is 3,000 Altitude points to 2,000 Everyday Rewards points (a 1.5:1 ratio, or 0.67 Everyday Rewards points per Altitude point)

    Transfer Rules and Limits

    • Minimum Transfer: 3,000 Altitude points for manual/once-off transfers.
    • Increments: Transfers must be done in blocks of 300 Altitude points (up to 150,000 points per transaction)

For further information refer to the Westpac Everyday Rewards Partner Page.

    St George

The transfer rate from St. George Amplify Rewards to Everyday Rewards is 3,000 Amplify points to 2,000 Everyday Rewards points

    Bank of Melbourne

    BankSA

The transfer rate from BankSA Amplify Rewards to Everyday Rewards is 3,000 Amplify Rewards points for every 2,000 Everyday Rewards

    • Manual transfers: Minimum of 3,000 Amplify points

    American Express

American Express added the ability to transfer to Everyday Rewards late last year. The transfer rate from American Express Membership Rewards to Everyday Rewards is 5:4, meaning you receive 2,000 Everyday Rewards points for every 2,500 Membership Rewards points transferred.

    Transfer Rules & Details

    • Minimum transfer: 500 Membership Rewards points per transaction.
    • Maximum transfer: Up to 999,990 points per transaction.

    Final Words

It may have sounded a small change, but it was a powerful one. For years, you had to choose sides. Qantas‑earning cards gave you Qantas Points but no flexibility. Flexible rewards cards gave you choice but shut the door on Qantas.

Now the system looks different. A handful of banks have opened transfers into Everyday Rewards, and Everyday Rewards can automatically send those points straight into Qantas Frequent Flyer. This pathway gives cardholders something they’ve never really had before: flexibility and access to Qantas.
