Qantas Frequent Flyer is back with a new Restaurant program allowing members to earn Qantas Points on restaurant reservations. This time around they have partnered with booking platform Quandoo. As part of the new deal, members will be able to earn points on reservations made wherever Quandoo operates.
The new program kicks off on 15 August and will offer members 100 Qantas Points per person per booking. This earn rate is the same as the previous Dimmi powered program that closed down earlier this year.
Making a Booking
In order to get your points, you will need to book through the Qantas Restaurants website or the Qantas App. While the program is powered by Quandoo, you do need to book through the Qantas channels in order to get the points. In addition, you can’t book directly with the restaurant, or through any other booking channel.
You will get your points within 7 days of dining. And also remember, that if you pay for your dining on a Qantas Points earning card, you will earn even more points.
And Quandoo would be?
Quandoo is an online restaurant booking platform, allowing you to make bookings at over 18,000 restaurants in 12 countries. The restaurants range from independent restaurants to chain restaurants, and even Michelin starred restaurants.
Being Quandoo powered, Qantas Restaurants will allow you to book (and earn points) in the following countries:
- Australia
- Austria
- Finland
- Germany
- Hong Kong
- Italy
- Luxembourg
- Netherlands
- Singapore
- Switzerland
- Turkey
- United Kingdom
Final Words
Since the closure of the previous partnership with Dimmi (and to a lesser extent Rockpool), Qantas Frequent Flyers have been without a way of earning points on restaurant bookings. The re-introduction of the program with new partner Quandoo is welcome news, and it is even better that members can earn in a number of countries.
