Qantas has announced that it will be rolling out new in-flight meals on domestic services during October. The update sees a refreshed menu in both the Business and Economy cabins.
To help the really frequent flyers see a bit of variety, the meals will be available on a six-week rotation cycle. This will allow the regular flyer to have different options each week.
New Meals
Qantas Group Chief Customer and Digital Officer Catriona Larritt said the “new menu was thoughtfully curated to showcase the best of Australia.”

We know our customers value variety and quality when they fly with us, and this new menu has been thoughtfully curated to highlight the finest Australian flavours while championing local businesses across the country.
Domestic Business Menu
Highlights of the new Qantas Domestic business menu:
- Coconut, Blueberry & Lemon Bread with Lemon Curd
- Brie & Onion Tart with Beetroot Relish & Rocket
- Lamb & Rosemary Pie with Crisp Potatoes & Peas
- Smoked Salmon with Zucchini Pickles & Lemon Dressing
- Garlic Prawns with Parmesan Cream & Fettuccine
- Red Wine Angus Beef with Mash & Green Beans

Domestic Economy Menu
Highlights of the new Qantas Domestic economy menu:
- Egg & Chorizo Toastie with smoky tomato chutney – The Handmade Food Co.
- Beef Sausage Burrito Wrap – Yummy Karma
- Chocolate Caramel Slice – Manna from Heaven
- Jam Drop Cookie – Cooee Cookies
- Macadamia Butterscotch Cake – Dreamtime Tuka
- Pumpkin, Spinach & Parmesan Quiche – Temptation
- Beef Ragu & Mushroom Pie – Simmone Logue

Lounges
Qantas is also making some improvements to the lounge offerings. However, these are more local changes, so you will see different updates in different lounges.
The items you might see include
- The Bakery in its Brisbane Domestic Business Lounge will serve freshly made items including cinnamon scrolls, egg and bacon quiches and classic Aussie sausage rolls from noon daily.
- In the Melbourne Domestic Business Lounge enjoy nasi goreng with fried egg or poached eggs on sourdough with chilli oil, freshly prepared at the dedicated Spice Bar.
- Iin the Perth Business Lounge, bacon and egg pizzas from the Pizza Bar will be on offer
