Qantas has made small change to its Economy offering, which is sure to make some say ‘Cheers’. As from today, Qantas will be offering complimentary beer and wine on shorter domestic services from midday.
Up until now, on flights up to two and a half hours have had complementary beer and wine after 4pm. There is now change to longer flights (longer than 2 1/2 hours), where it will still be served from 9 am.
The news came out in this morning’s Frequent Flyer newsletter from Qantas. In the email (with the subject “The latest flying news from Qantas”, they say:
Happy hour now starts at middayAs we continue to focus on improving your flight experience, complimentary beer and wine on domestic flights will now start from 12 noon instead of 4pm
Final Words
To sum up the new state of play, Qantas advise this:
Wine and beer are offered free of charge on select domestic and regional services:
- on flights departing from 12pm everyday, and
- on flights departing from 9am that are more than two and a half hours in duration.
In the end, it’s only a small change, but one likely to make many happy.
