If you were looking for reward seats to London and Rome mid next year, then you may be in luck. Qantas have just released rewards seats to both destinations between June and August in 2024.
However, you will need to get in quick. While Qantas says they have added thousands of reward seats to the two locations, we expect them to be snapped up quickly.
If you wish to travel Economy from the east coast to Europe, this will set you back 55,200 points. Step up to Business, and you are looking at 144,600 points. In both cases, there will be an additional $440-$450 in taxes and surcharges. If you are travelling out of Perth to Europe, the points requirement drops to 51,200 or 126,500 points.
Qantas flies Sydney to London via Singapore with A380s, while services from Perth to London or Rome are with a 787 Dreamliner.
50 Percent discount on Premium Points Plus Pay
In addition to the Classic Reward release, Qantas have kicked off a five day Points + Pay sale. Under this offer, Qantas are discounting the number of points you need by 50%. This deal applies to seats in the Premium Economy, Business and First cabins.
This offer is available for bookings made by 27 October 2023.
Keep in mind that Points Plus Pay seats are different to Classic Rewards. While it allows you to use your points toward any available cash fare, the rate is not as favourable as with Classic Rewards. Having said that, you do earn points and status credits on these fares.
