    Qantas updates domestic menu offering

    Qantas has updated its domestic menu offering, Updates have been made to the Economy and Business Cabins, and came into effect on 27 October, 2016.

    Under the new offering, Qantas has introduced new breakfast items, main dishes, snacks and refreshments into Domestic Economy services. The new menu sees a selection of Rockpool inspired dishes and local Australian suppliers,

    In addition to new products and suppliers, Qantas will also increase the hot food offerings on Domestic Economy flights. On short and medium breakfast services,  customers will have the choice of a hot or cold breakfast. On medium lunch services there will now be the choice of two different hot hand held products to select from.

    Breakfast

    For breakfast,  customers have the option of selecting hot or cold items. Items that may be served include  golden and delicious omelette bites by Sunny Queen Farms. For a light and refreshing breakfast, there will be the option of new Ruby & Roy’s yoghurt flavours. These new flavours include  mango, raspberry and pomegranate, passionfruit and pineapple and marmalade.

    Main meal

    For the main meal, Qantas will be offering a variety of gourmet hot main meals and cold salads. Dishes are influenced by Rockpool. The new meals will have a portion size up to 50% larger than the current meals. As a result, Qantas says its passengers can expect a higher quality meal and service standard.

    Customers can look forward to delicious and warming meals such as Korean BBQ chicken with rice and pickled vegetables or fragrant pumpkin, tomato and almonds with pearl couscous. For a lighter meal, customers can enjoy cold salads such as Tahitian quinoa and coconut salad or hot smoked salmon and mixed vegetable salad.

    Snacks, Supper, Refreshments:

    New products are available to customers during morning services such as a luscious apricot, almond and white chocolate finger slice by Springhill Farm or a delectable bush plum crumble slice by Dreamtime Tuka.

    During our afternoon and evening services, new products offered to customers include, olives, feta and lavosh pack by Perfection Fresh or savoury boxes from Charlie’s Cookies.

    Lunch is now being served

    Qantas are adjusting the times that lunch is being served. Under the revisons, lunch will commence on short and medium services in both Business and Economy from 1200.. Prior to 1200, Business customers will be served brunch, while Economy passengers will be offered a morning refreshment,
