Qantas has launched an offer of double points for selected flights on its international network. Valid for bookings made by May 7 2018, it is available to all members of Qantas Frequent Flyer.
Eligible flights for the offer are basically those on the joint network with Emirates. As such, the promotion includes Qantas operated flights and selected codeshare flights operated by Emirates. The eligible flights are as follows:
For members in Australia
- Eligible Qantas operated international flights with a QF flight number between Australia and New Zealand, Singapore, Bangkok or London, or;
- Fly on eligible Emirates operated international flights with a QF flight number between Australia and New Zealand, Asia, Europe, the Middle East, Africa or the UK.
For members in Singapore
- Eligible Qantas operated international flights with a QF flight number between Singapore and Australia, New Zealand or London, or;
- Fly on eligible Emirates operated international flights with a QF flight number between Singapore and Australia, New Zealand, Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Africa or the UK.
The promotion only applies to the international sectors. So, if your itinerary includes any connecting domestic sectors, these will not be eligible for double points.
Registration
As with many of these offers, you will need to register first, and then make the eligible bookings. The time frames for the promotion are
- Booking Period: May 4 – May 7, 2018
- Travel Period: May 1 2018 and March 31 2019
The bonus points will be calculated based on the relevant base points for the sector flown and booking class. Where this is less that the minimum points guarantee, it will be double the amount received through the minimum points guarantee. The double points does not apply to any status bonus points that you may get.
You can expect that the bonus points will credit up to six weeks after your flight posts to your account (although many Qantas promotions will post earlier).
