The ALL Accor+ Explorer membership comes with a long list of perks, but the one that consistently delivers the best value is the Stay Plus Free Night. Used strategically, this benefit can easily offset your annual membership fee, especially at higher‑value hotels across Asia Pacific.
Over the past year, I redeemed both of my Stay Plus nights — first at Pullman Adelaide, then at Pullman Bunker Bay Resort for a coastal long weekend. Those two stays alone covered the cost of my membership, even before counting the dining discounts and other savings Accor+ provides.
This guide explains how Stay Plus works, how to book it, where to find the best value, and what rules and exceptions you need to know before planning your next stay.
What Is the Stay Plus Benefit?
The Stay Plus Free Night gives eligible ALL Accor+ Explorer members a complimentary night in a standard room at participating Accor hotels across Asia Pacific. In most cases, the system automatically applies the free night to the most expensive night in your booking, helping you maximise value.
The Stay Plus night covers entry‑level room categories only, and it does not include extras such as breakfast, lounge access, resort credits, or package add‑ons. If your paid night includes inclusions, those perks won’t carry over to the complimentary night — only the room rate is covered.
Why Stay Plus Offers Exceptional Value
Stay Plus is effectively a “buy one night, get one free” certificate, and you receive two per year with an Accor+ Explorer membership. Redeeming them at higher‑value hotels or during peak pricing periods can save you hundreds of dollars.
For example:
- Pullman Adelaide — ideal for a city break
- Pullman Bunker Bay Resort — perfect for a coastal escape
Both stays more than covered the cost of my membership, making Stay Plus the standout benefit of the program.
Booking your Stay Plus night
Booking a Stay Plus night is fairly simple to do online. While you can start on the Accor Plus hotel booking page, I find it easier to start on the standard Accor Hotels website. Log in to your Accor Live Limitless account and head to the hotel search page. If your membership includes a Stay Plus benefit, you’ll see a dedicated toggle that lets you filter properties with Stay Plus availability.
If you have any Suite Night Upgrades (SNU) available, make sure you leave that off. The two benefits cannot be used together, and if you try to apply the SNU, it will switch off the Stay Plus option.
To use the benefit, you must search for a stay of at least two nights. Some hotels set a three‑night minimum, and I outline those exceptions below. This requirement ensures the complimentary night is applied correctly and helps you find eligible properties without guesswork.

Hotel Selection
After filling in your location and dates, click on Search, and the next screen will bring up a list oh hotels with Stay Plus availability.

Any properties that have no availability for your selected dates will be shown at the end of the list. If the property you wanted to stay at has no availability, you can check out the availability calendar to see when it does have nights available.

Room Options
Once you have selected a suitable hotel, you then click on the hotel as usual to move through to the rooms that are available.

Rate Options
In most cases, the Stay Plus gives a free night on the hotels base room. In some cases, hotels may allow for higher level rooms for a supplement, however, for now we will select a Superior Room, which takes us through to the pricing option.

When here, you can select the rate type you wish. In addition, you can check the nightly price of the rooms. For example, the pricing conditions on this select is shown below, This shows that one of the nights has been selected as free.

After selecting your desired room rate, you can then complete the booking as per any other booking.
Stay Plus Rules and Conditions
These are the core rules every Accor+ Explorer member should know.
1. Only one Stay Plus night per stay
You can redeem one Stay Plus night per stay, regardless of how many nights you book.
2. Consecutive nights count as one stay
Back‑to‑back nights at the same hotel count as one stay, even if booked separately. You cannot split bookings to redeem multiple Stay Plus nights.
3. Reward points cannot pay for the paid night
ALL Reward points cannot be used to pay for the paid night in a Stay Plus booking. You must pay the cash rate, though you will still earn points and status nights on the paid portion.
4. Standard room category only
Stay Plus applies to entry‑level rooms. Upgrades may be available for a co‑payment depending on the hotel.
5. Inclusions do not carry over
Breakfast, lounge access, and package extras included in your paid night do not apply to the free night.
6. Participating brands only
Not all Accor brands participate. Availability varies by region, brand, and hotel policy.
Variations
While the standard benefits will apply in most cases, there are some variations that can occur during the booking process. In the following sections, I’ll take a look at these exceptions.
If you want something more than the basic room
If you choose a different room type, for example, a corner room, your Stay Plus night will usually cover part of the cost. You’ll just need to make a co‑payment for that night to secure the upgraded room. For example, in the following case, you would need to pay $140 for the Stay Plus night.

A Stay Plus Night is not available for one of the nights
There are some limits to the number of rooms a hotel makes available as Stay Plus nights. Accor applies the Stay Plus Free Night to the most expensive night of your stay as long as the Stay Plus rate is available for that date. If the highest‑priced night doesn’t offer Stay Plus availability, the benefit shifts to the next most expensive night that does.
Hotels that don’t participate
The Stay Plus benefit is not available at:
- The Banyan Group including Banyan Tree, Angsana, Garrya, Cassia, Dhawa, Homm
- Faena, 21c Museum Hotels, Delano, JO&JOE, Morgans Originals, SLS, The Hoxton, Mantis, The House of Originals, Hotel F1
- Pullman Maldives All-Inclusive Resort
- Mercure Maldives Kooddoo Resort
- The Sebel Chatswood
Hotels the require a three night booking
Some participating hotels enforce a minimum length of stay for Stay Plus bookings. Most require at least two nights, while a smaller number may require three nights. You can check these property‑specific rules under the Stay Exceptions section on the Accor+ Explorer website before finalising your plans.
At the time of writing, the hotels that required a three-night booking were:
- Extended Stay and Apartment Brands – These brands typically offer larger rooms, kitchenettes, and apartment‑style layouts, which is why the longer minimum stay applies.
Art Series, Peppers, Quay West, Grand Mercure, The Sebel, Mantra, BreakFree - Remote Island or Remote Destinations – Remote destinations often require longer stays due to travel logistics and limited availability
Fiji, French Polynesia, Maldives, and Uluru in Australia - Australia – These Pullman Resorts sit in high‑demand leisure destinations where longer stays are the norm.
- Pullman Palm Cove Sea Temple Resort and Spa
- Pullman Port Douglas Sea Temple Resort and Spa
- Pullman Bunker Bay Resort Margaret River Region
- Pullman Quay Grand Sydney Harbour
- Pullman Magenta Shores Resort
- Singapore
- Raffles Singapore
- Raffles Sentosa
- Indonesia
- Raffles Bali
Tips for Maximising Your Stay Plus
- Book early — inventory is limited, especially at popular resorts.
- Use flexible dates — shifting your stay by a day can unlock availability.
- Compare nearby hotels — some brands release more Stay Plus nights.
- Avoid peak blackout periods — holidays and major events reduce availability.
- Check minimum‑stay rules before booking flights or transfers.
- Stack with promotions — you still earn points and status nights on paid nights.
Final Words
The Stay Plus benefit is one of the strongest perks of an ALL Accor+ Explorer membership. Used well, it can offset a significant portion of your annual fee, especially when redeemed at higher‑value hotels or during peak pricing periods. While it’s no longer a standalone free night in the way it was under the old Accor Plus program, the updated system offers broader hotel coverage and generally better availability, giving members more flexibility when planning trips.
Your Stay Plus certificates must be redeemed before your membership expires, so it pays to plan ahead. Start looking at destinations and availability early in the year, particularly if you’re targeting popular resorts or hotels with minimum‑stay rules. Early planning helps you secure the dates you want and ensures you don’t leave value unused.
