Virgin Australia has announced that it is returning to Uluru. This expansion will see it add direct services from Melbourne and Brisbane to the Red Centre. The flights launch in June 2024, with Melbourne flights kicking off first on 6 June. Brisbane residents don’t need to wait much longer, flights from Brisbane to Uluru take off on 7 June. Jetstar has announced plans to expand its network out of Perth, including three routes to Southeast Asia. As a result of the expansion, Jetstar will return to flying between Perth and Singapore. In addition, it will offer direct flights to Phuket and Bangkok. To enable this expansion, Jetstar will be basing four aircraft in Perth. Jetstar has announced that it wiil commence flights between Sydney and one of the west’s top tourist regions – Busselton Margaret River. The new service will begin on 26 March 2024, in time for the Easter holidays. Jetstar will operate its Airbus A320 aircraft on the three flights per week service.
