World of Hyatt has launched a new promotion offering 2,500 bonus points after 5 qualifying nights. The promotion is valid for stays between June 1 and August 31. In some ways, the promotion is a little restrictive as it only applies to stays at Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency.

- An “Eligible Night” is any night where a member is paying an Eligible Rate or redeems a free night award for at least one night of their stay.
Only nights at Grand Hyatt and Hyatt Regency are eligible. As a result, stays at any other brand in the World of Hyatt program are ineligible. The brands excluded are Park Hyatt, Miraval, Hyatt, Andaz, Hyatt Centric, The Unbound Collection by Hyatt, Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara and Hyatt Residence Club.
There is no limit to the number of points that can be earned. You will receive 2,500 Bonus Points after each 5 nights.
Thoughts
The 2,500 Points after each 5 nights works out at 500 points per night, which is not that bad in itself. You do collect them in increments of 5 nights though – so if you have only 4 nights you won’t get anything.
It is disappointing that the promotion only applies for stays at Hyatt Regency and Grand Hyatt properties.That excludes a whole lot of properties. Even in Melbourne, the Park Hyatt and Hyatt Place won’t be useful for the promotion.
Even if you have no stays at a participating property, it is probably worth registering for the promotion. There is no harm in doing so, and if plans change, you won’t need to remember to register.
