Earn double Qantas Points when booking with your travel credit

    MarkBy MarkDecember 16, 2022No Comments2 Mins Read

Qantas has kicked off a new promotion – this time offering double points to members that book using a travel credit. And by travel credit, Qantas is being quite broad in what it is allowing. If you have a Flight Credit, Qantas Pass, Qantas TravelPass or a Qantas Credit you could take part.

Basically, all you will need to do is use your travel credit to make a booking on any eligible flight by 31 January 2023. You can then travel anytime between 13 December 2022 and 31 December 2023.

    Key Details

    • Offer: Double Qantas Points when booking with a travel credit
    • Booking Dates: Book by 31 January 2023
    • Travel Dates: Travel by 31 December 2023
    • Registration: You must register for this promotion. If there are multiple passengers in a booking, each of the passengers must register

An eligible flight is a flight with a QF flight number, where a Qantas travel credit was used for full or part payment. Interestingly, this could also include codeshares, which are often excluded.

    Thoughts

Qantas says that its customers are holding on to about $600 million dollars of “Covid credits’. Many of the credits held by customers will be expiring at the end of 2023. As a result, Qantas is trying to encourage customers to use their credits.
