Hilton has expanded its luxury hotel portfolio adding nearly 400 properties from the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) collection to its booking channels. This follows the announcement earlier this year of the new partnership between the two companies.
It’s good news for Hiton Honors members. As a result of the partnership, Hilton Honors members will be able to earn and redeem points for SLH stays. In addition, Hilton are promising exclusive benefits at SLH properties booked through Hilton channels.
Hilton Honors Benefits
As part of the partnership, Hilton Honors members are being offered some of their standard benefits at SLH properties. These include free Wi-Fi and the member’s discount. In addition, Gold and Diamond members are eligible for complimentary upgrades (where available) and continental breakfast.
For those making redemptions, the standard benefits apply. For example, Points & Money payment options, no resort fees on stays booked using all Points and 5th Standard Reward Night Free apply.

To view the SLH properties available through Hilton, you can start at this link. This will give you a list and map of all the properties participating in the partnership. Overall, this shows the luxury stay possibilities that have been opened up for members of Hilton Honors.
SLH in Australia
SLH lists a total of 9 hotels across Australia. This includes a range of Ovolo Hotels, as well as hotels such as Smiths Beach Resort in Yallingup, and Les Mas Barrosa. Of these 9 hotels, eight appear in the Hilton website. The one exception is The Islington in Hobart. Having said that, Smiths Beach Resort doesn’t appear to have any availability through Hilton.
A quick search revealed that there are rooms available for points. For example, I found rooms available at Les Mas Barossa for 100,000 points a night. Given these rooms can sell for over $1,000 per night, this seemed like a good deal.
Final Words
All up, SLH have around 560 hotels on their books. As such, getting almost 400 onto the Hilton system is a good effort.
My initial searches suggest that there are some good options available for Hilton Honors members. There certainly appeared to be some attractive redemption possibilities available.
