Hyatt Place announced for Melbourne’s Caribbean Park

    MarkBy MarkJuly 23, 2019No Comments2 Mins Read

If I had been asked to guess where the next Hyatt Place in Melbourne would be, Caribbean Park would not have been my first guess. But there you have it, development of the Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park is set to kick off later this year. Given roughly two years to build the hotel, it should be opening during 2021.

While not exactly in town, it will give World Of Hyatt members an additional property in Australia.

When it opens it will be the third Hyatt Place in Melbourne. The Hyatt Place in Essendon is already open for business. The second Hyatt Place is expected to open in Springvale next year.

    Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park

Caribbean Park is located in the south-eastern suburbs, and the hotel will be 27 kilometres from the city. The hotel will be an eight storey building, with a total of 170 rooms. Other facilities at the hotel will include a café, grab-and-go food market, bar, lobby lounge, and fitness centre.

It will be located along Eastlink, between Wellington and Ferntree Gully Road.

Initially, that may sound like a strange place to be located.  However, when you consider the rest of the developments going on in the area, it may not be so strange.

There is quite a business park being developed in Caribbean Park. This will see a number of national companies having a presence in the area, and there are not that many other hotels around.

It will also allow for access to the Yarra Valley and Mornington Peninsula, should you so desire. Being located along Eastlink, it does allow for ready access to a number of areas.

The Hyatt Place Melbourne Caribbean Park joins a number of hotels being built around Melbourns suburbs. While this hotel is mainly aimed at business people, the leisure traveller may find some benefits in staying in the area.
