    Oakwood Launches “All You Knead is Comfort” Campaign to Celebrate Comfort Food

    Oakwood has introduced its new “All You Knead is Comfort” campaign, aiming to harness the universal appeal of comfort food and its power to evoke feelings of home and warmth.

    Running until March 31, 2025, the campaign invites guests to participate in a variety of food-centric experiences. These include culinary events, cooking classes, and exclusive collaborations with renowned chefs at Oakwood properties around the globe.

    The campaign comes amid a boom in the so-called bleisure travel sector. Research by American Express has pointed toward food has becoming a major deciding factor for modern travellers. According to that research, nearly half of the travellers want to join cooking classes while exploring new destinations.

    Oakwood have set out to take advantage of this shift, For example, all new Oakwood properties will offer on-property dining options.In addition, Oakwood apartments feature home-like kitchens.

    Comfort, Curated: Recipes from Around the World

    The campaign sees the release of a digital cookbook, ‘Comfort, Curated‘. This cookbook features a range of regional recipes crafted by Oakwood chefs from the 12 countries Oakwood currently operates in. This cookbook is available as a free download, enabling guests to recreate dishes from the various regions. Featured recipes include:

    • Indonesian Klepon: A chewy rice ball filled with brown sugar, courtesy of Chef Arie Nurandi from Oakwood Premier Cozmo Jakarta.
    • Hainanese Chicken Rice Nigiri: A Singapore classic reimagined with Japanese influences, crafted by Chef Nixon Low.
    • Haleem: A rich and hearty Indian stew, created by Chef Reagan Fernandes from Oakwood Residence Kapil Hyderabad.
    • Khmer Margherita Pizza: An innovative twist on the classic pizza by Chef Pok Phearum from Oakwood Premier Phnom Penh.
    • Steamed Pork Buns: Deliciously soft buns by Chef Andy Huang from Oakwood Premier Guangzhou.
    • King Fish Tacos: A fusion dish by Chef Jean-Pierre Sauterelle from Oakwood Premier Melbourne.

    Culinary Events

    On top of that, Oakwood properties have teamed up with local culinary experts to offer a range of culinary events. These events include limited-time menus and masterclasses for guests.

    In Bangkok, MasterChef Thailand finalist Pawat Kritsaruenon will lead a masterclass at Oakwood Suites Bangkok, teaching guests to prepare simple Thai recipes. Even better, guests will be able to prepare the dishes in the comfort of their own apartments.

    Other events planned include:

    • In Jakarta, celebrity Chef Devina Hermawan will debut an Indonesian menu at Oakwood Apartments PIK Jakarta.
    • In China, Oakwood locations will be showcasing cooking classes featuring dishes such as dumplings.
