Qantas to release thousands of reward seats from Friday

    MarkBy MarkFebruary 22, 2023No Comments2 Mins Read

If you’ve been trying to use your points on flights, Friday may be a good day to try. Qantas is planning on releasing another set of Classic Flight Reward seats across its international network.

On that day, Qantas will release tens of thousands of reward seats across its international network. The release of seats will take place at 11 am on Friday.

The release comes as Qantas extends its previous commitment to release more international reward seats. Overall, they are promising to release 50% more seats for international travellers.

The extra reward seats will be available across all cabins, including Business and First. These seats will be available across the airline’s full international network. This includes the popular overseas destinations of London, Singapore, Bali, Tokyo and Los Angeles.

According to Qantas Loyalty CEO Olivia Wirth

“Our frequent flyers have been using their points to book reward seats in record numbers, and demand for seats on international flights is particularly strong,” said Ms Wirth.

“We’re releasing tens of thousands of new Classic Flight Reward seats to international destinations to make it easier for our members to use their points towards their next overseas trip.

    Thoughts

Anyone that has been trying to redeem Reward seats lately would know how hard it has been to find something. As such, it is good to see Qantas releasing more reward seats. However, given the demand that is still out there, these seats may go quickly. So, be at the ready on Friday morning when the release takes place.
