Final Words
It’s good to see Velocity team up with Didi. In the past, they were partners with Ola, although this partnership came to an end last year.
Even further, Ola has left the Australian market altogether, with two main players remaining – Uber and Didi. With this new tie-up you can earn Qantas Points with Uber, or Velocity Points with Didi.
The partnership between Didi and Velocity offers a couple of advantages over the partnership between Ube and Qantas. Firstly, you can earn Velocity points on all rides, not just those taken to or from an eligible airport. Secondly, for many trips you will earn twice as many points. In the case of Uber and Qantas, you earn 1 Qantas Point for each $2 of spend, unless you use Uber Reserve. When taking a ride with Didi, you will earn 1 Velocity Point per dollar.
