Earn Double Velocity Points on Virgin Australia flights

0

Velocity has launched a new promotion offering double Velocity Points on new flight bookings made by 1 March 2022. Under the promotion, you can earn a handy 10 Velocity Points per dollar you spend on your airfare.

The promotion is valid for bookings made between now and 1 March 2002, for travel by 17 January 2023. As usual with a Velocity promotion, you will need to register first.

Promotion Details

  • Offer; Double Points on all eligible Virgin Australia domestic flights
  • Booking Period: Book by 1 March 2022
  • Travel Period: Travel by 17 January 2022
  • Registration: You will need to register for the promotion prior to making your booking

Things to note

As with all promotions, there is a bit of fine print to take note of.

Firstly, you need to activate the offer, so make sure you do that. You should be able to find the offer in the Velocity App. If you do not use the App, you can find the offer within the member dashboard after you have logged into the Velocity website. If all else fails, you can use the link above.

Secondly, you need to book an eligible flight. This can be any domestic, or international short-haul, flight marketed and operated by Virgin Australia. This means that you will not earn bonus points on a codeshare service.

As far as points earning goes, the double points apply to the base earning that you would normally earn. That is, it doubles the 5 points per dollar that make up the base earn. Any other bonus, such as a status bonus, is not doubled.

All that said, these promotions cost nothing extra, so if you can book next year’s flights in the next week, it is worthwhile signing up for the extra points.

You can find the full set of offer terms and conditions on the offer page here.
