Qantas is boosting the number of flights between Australia and and Hong Kong and Manila. The boost in flights comes as a result of an increase in demand from travellers on the routes. Hong Kong Qantas ia planning to operate an additional four Sydney-Hong Kong services each week, on top of the current daily services available from Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. These new services are planned to commence from October 26, 2015, and will be operarted by Airbus A330 aircraft. In a previous post, it was noted that the first of the Qantas reconfigured 737 aircraft had returned to the skies. While that post focussed on a new inflight entertainmentt option, there were other changes being made to the aircraft. Qantas has launched the latest version of its Qantas Entertainment App which enables customers  travelling on selected aircraft to stream more than 400 hours of movies, TV shows and music to their own personal device. The new version of the App is available in both IOS and Android devices, whereas the original version was an IOS only App. This content will be made available through the use of wifi technology. Qantas have kicked off a new promotion, with a double points offer available through Qantas Movies. Buying Movie vouchers through the Qantas Movies site normally pays 2 points per dollar spent. Under the current promotion, this increases to 4 points per dollar. The promotion runs through to Sepetember 20, 2015. The installation of Premium Economy seats into Singapore Airlines A380 fleet has been delayed. As a result, they will be unable to offer Premium Economy on a number of services that had been sold with a Premium Economy cabin. Announced earlier this year, a Premium Economy cabin is being installed into the A380 and long haul Boeing 777 fleet. The Boeing 777 fleet does not appear to have been impacted by this delay. Passengers departing from these two locations will be offered alternative lounge access.
