BP is set to switch alliances from Virgin Australia to Qantas with the introduction of a new BP Rewards program. The change will enable BP customers to Qantas Points in place of Velocity Points. The new BP Rewards program will roll out in 2020, allowing Qantas Frequent Flyers to earn Qantas Points when purchasing fuel and spending in-store at BP outlets. In addition, Qantas Business Rewards members will be able to earn points with their BP Plus fuel cards. Midas customers will no longer earn Velocity Points as from 17 September 2019. Velocity confirmed the bad news in a partner update published on their website.
